at the very minimum, at least enough to cover cost of shipping plus a few for his time :)

Is the CPU with the retail heatsink?
Any cosmetic defects?

I've a dead 550E. Funny, the only dead CPU I've ever had was OEM :(
It was supposed to be a 550E/733, now it's a 550E/0

do u think if you slap a back plate and retail heatsink
from another working p3-500 on, will get pass Intel rma?

unless there is a serial on the physical chip which
match the back plate...

any ideas?
