Yeah I hate the dealership lobby BS rules. I went in to VW with and exact list of what I wanted on the car. Said I was gonna pay cash and would put 75% down on the car I wanted and the sales guy seemed to not care and kept trying to get me to buy something else. Needless to say now they CAN'T even give me what I want any more.

Actually, it's best not to spring the "cash" on the dealer until the very end of the deal. Part of the profits they are counting on are the interest shared with the bank.
