I have had decent look with Toyotas for the last 2 cars. I bought a new Ford van about 10 years ago and it was junk. Pieces falling off after 6 mos on the interior.

Been very happy with my 2007 Toyota Camry. Very few problems.

It's so nice to see Domestic and Domestic made cars on the list.

I've had my Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland for 2 years now & it's a nice ride. Smooth ride. Lots of power. Lots of cargo space. No issues.

The top 10 are basically new cars under warranty (thus no cost to owner). IMO, the real test is how they fair in 10yrs, 100+K miles.

My 07' Dodge Magnum has, to date, been the best car I have ever owned. I have had the car for 7 years (bought it in 08' with 16k on the ODO) and it has NEVER been in the shop for a repair. Just regular maintenance. The car has 164K on it now and it has never left me stranded. It's had 3 sets of brake pads, 3 sets of tires and the timing belt/water pump service at 93k.. That's it. When she turns 200k I will be retiring the 3.5L V6 that's in her now and putting in a 5.7L HEMI and then I'll put another 200k on her.

I bought my 03 TDI Beetle with 53k on it. It now has over 230k on it. I have done 2 timing belts and water pumps as PM on it. At 200K I put bigger injectors, bigger turbo, bigger clutch, ECU Tune for parts, new CVs and front suspension. The car will now roll the tires off in second (once the turbo spools) and still averages 48-52 MPG and is even more fun to drive with the power upgrades.

At this rate I should be able to go another 200k before the body starts falling apart.

I have a 2000 Ford F150 Crew Cab with 143,000. Does not use oil and has zero oil leaks of any kind. I HATE cars that leak anything. I've only had 2 coil packs replaced, 1 alternator, 2 batteries, and some air conditioning components replaced. Really, the only problem I had with the truck has been with the air conditioning. Also had the truck repainted due to the cheap pain job the factory does.

Also have a 2005 Honda Accord 4 banger with 108,000 miles. Nothing wrong with the car, just the regular maintenance stuff. Oh, I did have to repair the passenger side door latch, as the cable broke. Cost? $15 for a new cable.

My wife has a 2004 4Runner with 140K miles and that car is rock solid. The only repair we've done was a CV Joint. We keep up with the scheduled services on it. It does have a defective dashboard that has cracked all over which Toyota is in the process of replacing for that model, just waiting on it to arrive. My '14 Mustang we'll just have to see how it goes. I did extend the warranty for 8yrs/100K last week just in case. 3yrs/36K is just too short.
