started the claim today bring in more paperwork in tomorrow to my Chevy dealer to try and get $300 more from a rental car expense when the car was taken in for a sun gear that was replaced on the replacement trans that was installed back November at the second dealer. the car was down for a week that time. the second dealer didn't offer loaners but did have a hertz car rental center located in there dealership showroom service sent all there clients to.

Update on what I know as of right now.
I turned in all the original papers yesterday and today .they supply you with copy's -(but originals have to be turned in ) also turned in the papers for a car rental . the second time I had to take car back in . seeing it was covered under there replacement transmission warranty. that was 3 year or 100,000 miles but no car rental unless the dealer offer you a courtesy car. as it turned out the second dealer had placed a hertz rental car unit in its dealership . would only give cars to those who were warrantied under the original new car warranty free cars -anyone else was charged . so I had a $283.00 rental expense -this is also to be picked up will see .
the car and paperwork from old tramsmission repair under 14404 a special coverage adjustment (wave plate ) is handle and from what im seeing so far approved by the service manager of the local gm dealer .then the refund check is dispersed by that dealer within 30 days ~
this way you have a better insite .
ps also i think all old transmission work has to been performed by a GM approved service center - not 100 % on this do.

A couple weeks ago a guy brought in a '15 Lexus AWD IS 250 for a 5K mile service and "the trans slips shifting about 45mph". Indeed it did. Fluid looks good, full, no codes. Called tech support, said to reset its memory by disconnecting the battery and if that doesn't fix it, just replace the trans.
So for a while it wasn't slipping after doing that but would shift harshly. The owner opted to trade the car in for another car so now it's our car and the trans is slipping again so I went to order a trans for it......a mere $13K!
The service manager's waiting to see what our Lexus rep. says about it.

back to a second dealer tomorrow to have a switch swap at 7 am on my other car under that gm recall .said it take 3-4 hours seeing they have to re-key the car thought about it yes they would have to replace the driver door lock or re do the tumbler pins to a new key. so I can see the 2-3 hour time frame after thinking about it.
took them 4 weeks to get me in to do the recall

Just order the identical one with the Toyota logo on it and save yourself 11k.

If Toyota does what Cadillac does, it will be the same exact tranny EXCEPT for a different connector, and a different firmware, just to keep you from doing that...
