The best car sub in existance:

http://www.decware.com/dhm108.htm

Combine that with one of their tuned sub boxes:

http://www.decware.com/diyboxes.htm

And you'll have better response than 2 12" subs. The LFE on these babies will cause eardrum comression.

But yes the Aura, Rockford Fosgate, and Cerwin Vega lineups are pretty good too.

The aura sub's specs

http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl ... 6&CATID=49

It'll spank that other 10incher.
36 pounds net weight, about 20 pounds just for the magnet.
Big box though; 4cf for a sealed, or 11cf for a cented box (tuned nice and low)

That thing'll slam any car or van HARD :D

You didn't convince me...

These are 10s we're talking about too. You can get 4 of them with boxes for the price of one of those 18s, not including the box, big amp, and juice you need to run it.

Hand-made makes the difference...

Honestly, I'd be happy with either one, though!!

those subs bitslap showed look like shit though...sorry man.

If you really want some nice 12's that will slam...Check out JL Audio's upcoming W7's :) I have W3's in my new truck and they just rock. The W7's spec's look great and JL does make quality subs

http://www.jlaudio.com/subwoofers/w7previewx.html Take a look at that. Talk about quality construction.

I previous used 12" Solobaric's....man if you can put enough watt's to those subs...nothing beats them. I have yet to hear those new "Square" solobarics...but i doubt they match the ol' round ones.

In that case you're pushing roughly 250lb/ft torque at around 2500rpm, and about 150hp at aroudn 5000rpm

I know, torquey biatch, but it's a decently fast car.
I mean, mine is anyways :)

a nice carb + intake + exhaust combo will get you about 40 hp and lb/ft torque extra, and the car will be a lot more fun to drive :)

Imagine, pulling from 40 to 85 miles an hour all in 4th, very fast :)
