1141 / 1156 Auto Bulb LED Replacement

My RV uses 1141 bulbs for ceiling light fixtures (1141 is the same as 1156 - a single filament bayonet - except that 1156 is brighter and hotter and more often used for exterior lights like turn signals).
I have 15 of these bulbs in the RV, and they burn out all the time. They also get hot if you leave them on too long and make the plastic lens on the fixture brittle.
I was thinking of replacing all the fixtures with LED fixtures, but good ones are expensive, most are ugly (WHY do they put clear lenses on them so you can see the individual LEDs?), and then you need to make sure they're the same size or bigger than the existing fixtures so you don't see any outlines from the old fixture. You also have to make sure the mounting screws are the same, and fiddle around with wiring.
There's nothing wrong with my old fixtures - I like my old fixtures - I just wanted to replace the bulbs with LED bulbs.
Been looking into this for a while and have bought a few single test bulbs and been generally disappointed with them. Most tend to be a lot dimmer than an 1141 bulb. Many run as hot if not hotter than an incandescent (and usually draw as much or more current). The color can also look unnatural.
Finally ordered some of these after reading rave reviews on Amazon and on RV forums:

They are a bit whiter than an incandescent, but not terribly so. Through my opaque white fixtures, they look about the same (compared the two side by side in the same dual bulb fixture), only ever so slightly dimmer. Hardly noticeable. It fits in the same space as a standard 1141 bulb. I left one on for a while and it didn't get hot.
Went ahead and ordered more to replace them all.
A lot of RVs and 5th wheels use the same bulb.
