WTF!
I ran my 94 camero all last fall with the sevice engine soon lite up.
Even during winter storage starts, it's on..
Drove it to the machanic I use, its on. Get all call from the guy and tells me
there is no ses light on, just the low coolant resivior lamp. (thats always been on since day one.) I had him fix that.
But Really?
I can only think I have a "Christine" and fixed its self in their parking lot..
Drove it home and no lite. Great! But the odds are way out there for this happening.
Hate when that happens! I think the guy thought I was looking at the low coolant level light and thought I saw it as SES. NO! NO! I ain't that dumb, yet.
Just ranting. Thanks!

Seems like the SES light on your car is what's now called a CEL (check eng light) and there should be a way to check codes too.

I googled it. Here's one thread:

SEE! Why do they do that!!!

Hey thanks for the links Evil. I just know that light is going to turn back on.. I just know it. Just don't like when the rad fans come on when the ses light is on.
Gonna call the Mech and see what he used to pull codes that were not there. (OBD1 does not store codes, they must be active I hear.)
I think I could get my own scanner and "catch" it in the act but need to know just what I need before buying my own. I have a laptop so maybe software and connector?
A well I'll find out after the call to see what I have. I guessin It's an OBD1 with and OBD2 connector.
Thanks Guys! Fun ass car though!!
