Hi all!

He's selling it for his brother that bought it new and its been stored since 2002 and the car only needed a jump to just it were its at here in 2012. 100,00 miles on it, 4 speed.3.7 V8..
Guys, this thing looks mighty clean. The plate stickers are up to date so it must have a clean title right? Forgot to ask..DOH!!
Never seen a rear spoiler like that either! HUH? Sorta like it.
LIL lost on this. Might be a great buy for resale. All comments welcome!
OH Golly amost forgot. He wants 4900.

All I can say is that my Jeep has been sitting since 2005 (in a temp controlled garage) & it needs all kinds of love before I could safely drive it.

Meh, it's an F-type.. Never liked them and I always hated that basket handle type spoiler.. ;\ And he's only $1-2K under the blue book value on the car. And I just saw the HP numbers on that motor, they're pathetic lol 275HP? My 3.5l V6 make 250HP lol And the 5.7l HEMI makes 350.. I suppose there could be some technology advances to accommodate the difference.. BUT! This is just my opinion and it's like an @$$hole.. We all have one and they all stink.. If you like the car, go for it, but only after you can drive it.

Eww... Auto?

Do keep in mind if it's been sitting that long it will most likely develop oil leaks in short order soon after being put into service again. That and you never know what the chipmunks chewed, etc.

Looks nice and in good shape. If you've been looking for one than that might be a good find. That is of course if you can get over the automatic issue ;)

Is that 275HP at the wheels? If so, its not that bad considering the year.

Everything I have found says that's at the crank ;\ To think, I've been scared of the Z28s in my Magnum all these years.. MWA AHA HA! lol My 3.5L stock was 250hp at the crank, I've added cams, heads, headers, tune and lots of other fun stuff, sitting close to around 230hp to the wheels based on muh last dyno. So after the Z28s power train loss it's sitting ~234hp.. Would it beat me? Probably, but it weighs in at almost 1000lbs less and it just a little more aerodynamic.. Might have to get some 18" wheels instead of my 20's and start playing with some old F-Types lol :)

Been thinking about it all day. I'm smelling a money pit. Might just pass unless the price drops. thanks.

Unless you're very familiar with older cars and able to look things over, I highly advise taking it to a garage that you trust, pay them to do a "buyers safety inspection" (like a state safety inspection). Cost is usually 1 hour of labor time. That way it'll be checked over by someone who can spot any flaws, if any and could save you a ton of $$ later on.
Any seller who's got nothing to hide would be cool with going with you to do that. If he refuses, walk away.

100,00 miles on it,
Is that 100 miles, 10,000 miles or 100,000 miles? Hard to tell from your comma placement.

If low mileage and mint, might be worth that $$. Do a Carfax check too to be sure things add up.

Well after some more tossing and turning on it, I think in going to go for it. Hell even if its got problems its a nice prodject car. This woundn't be a daily driver and I do have a spare garage for it. It's not like I need it I just want it for something to work on and just have. I'm 51 so it's sorta now or maybe never. Called the bank and ya no problem for a loan.
Test drive set up for tommorow am. Might give him 100 just to hold it for me if all goes well.

Just plan on draining every fluid (including brake) and replacing just about every piece of rubber and you should be fine.

Be sure that it's inspected from under the car. Any US made car in the salt belt could look good on top but have serious cancer underneath. Might also have bad oil leaks like a rear main seal (costly labor wise).
So, IMO, at that price unless it's minty, has potential to need more work than what you want to put into it. I've seen many used car nightmares, cars that the buyer thought wasn't bad but needed far more repairs than it was worth.
