Life is too short for me to keep using crappy air tools. I am now on my second craftsman 1/2 drive impact and it does not have enough torque. Of course, I've made the mistake of going cheap as I don't use it that often.
I've decided it is time to buy a real impact and not a toy. Don't want to spend more than $150 though. If anyone has any suggestions for make model or a good online vendor or any of the three I would appreciate it.

My old humpback ingersol-rand Has busted nuts for me for about 8 years with only on rebuild. About 650 ft/lbs of torque. Has broken frame bolts in half more than once. I'll dig it out and see if I can find the model number.

Check Amazon for deals once you know what you're looking for.
Had a bitch of a time finding a hubcap removal tool like the kind they use at tire stores, but I found one on Amazon for a reasonable price AND free shipping. Needed it for the RV.

Although I have a Snap-on impact at work, for the few times I need an impact at home I just use an inexpensive CP impact that came in a kit with 3/8 CP ratchet and impact socket set from Menards. I've had it for years now and it still serves me well. Unless you're doing alot of side jobs, you don't need an expensive impact wrench IMO.

I got my impact wrench at Advanced Auto Parts. Not a name brand I recognized but it works well for what I use it for (mostly for replacing blades on my riding lawn mower, and rebuilding the mower deck).
