My father bought the '65 Chevy Impala, 2 door sports coupe with the 327 engine, 4 barrel carb. Best f'ing car EVAR! That car flew and handled like a dream.
He had that car until 1989 and when he sold it it looked like it had just rolled off the assembly line. I loved that car.

I wasn't a gleam in my father's eye when this commercial was released.

I was almost 8 in the fall of '64 when that would have come out but it's way too long for a normal TV commercial. It must have been some special segment?
I don't think any of those actors are still alive today.

i was 9 when and remember watching those shows with my parents !
my parents never owned a new car ever .but i sure remember my aunts chevy 11- 2 door and im only guessing but i bet the salesman. sold her the 4 cyl model she never did know much about cars .she buy them if she liked the color. and she had a light blue on blue one with vinyl seats and she had clear vinyl seat covers in it .

I've never seen a Chevy 11 (Nova) with a 4 cyl and didn't know that was even an option. 6s and V8s were common.
The shows still play on TV land.
