came with a bedliner ,air ,trailer hitch, bucket seats with foldup armreat, automatic trans , tilt ,am/fm stereo , lighter & ashtay,,8 ft box

Holy crap! What a deal. I was thinking of trading in my Ford F150 2001 Crew Cab, but I would have to get a vehicle that gets 10 mpg more than what I was trading in. So his 1988 must have been pretty bad for mpg.

I'm so tempted to try it myself... except to get a Hyundai Accent (because it's all I can afford). Heard of them going for $6000.

I'm not sure that is how it worked I'm sure there wasn't much of a mpg change. but if you wanted crew cab I'm thinking you would of been able to do a deal . now in calf the rules could of been tougher.
