test drove one of these today and it was pretty sweet. had the 6 cyl and the towing heavy up. thinking about buying one. sucker was pretty snappy. according to consumer reports it'll pull 0-60 in 6.7., gets 15/29mpg and 23 avg. 5 spd automatic.

Ed on here has one and I have been in it countless times, we actually jsut installed a whole navi setup in it last weekend.

Its nice and roomy front and back seats. the plastic is cheap.

IT does not have a command seating though. It doesnt feel much higher then my car and is nothing like driving my xterra.

Nice gar and it uses regular gas...and is skippy.

had a couple as rentals in Denver, not too bad, I would go with the Escape though.

One thing the RAV4 does, is it seams to be meant for SHORT people. That odd read door opening sideways instead of up.

I looked at the escape, but it has mediocre reliability, piss poor braking, poor towing, and a much lower resale. The Saturn only gets 17 mpg.

picked her up tonight. very tight and responsive. to get what I wanted in the color I wanted, without all the junk, they had to bring one up from delaware. I have to drive to Charleston, WV on monday for work so I'll get a chance to wring her out a little on that ever-so-boring 300 mi. drive where you get to see 7 billion trees.

NIce. IF you ever plan on upgrading the audio it is super easy. We just did Ed's a few weeks ago to a 6" touch navi screen. very nice and not to hard. Lots of room behind it for the mass of cables it always requires.
