have to replace the compresser in my 1998 f 150 .with a 4.6 L this thursday . any idea how long this may take ?

I assume AC compressor? Book labor is 1.4 hours. This does not include evacuating the system, flushing it and refilling it. Add two or three hours for that.

You should flush it if the compressor may have filled the system with little metal bits. Otherwise you are just going to buy another compre$$or.
