anything you feel was odd to make it run or keep it going .

i will start this off with 2 that i have done over the years .

1st - i didn't have jumper cables and needed to jump start my 93 ford rancho pickup so in the day of steel bumpers . had to bring the jump car right up to the front of the rancho and touch bumpers and used two crow bars and have them touch the positive terminals of each car and then have some one in my car and turn the key it worked ~ started right up !

2nd -sister ripped the trailing bar off the rear axle and frame of my old beat up 68 Volvo !
she ripped the bar right off the frame !
the car would drive like it was a boat in choppy water. the rear of the car would move side to side kinda looked and felt like it was driving sideways down the road .
so to repair this we welded a sec. of old steel bed frame to the steel car frame and then welded the old trailing bar to the bed frame . it worked till the car was sent to the junk yard some years latter !
(seems cars don't like being forced to drive over curbs - thanks sis )
any way you guys should try drilling old steel bed frames sometime . now that is some hard shit !
we had to get it cherry red with the torch and then drill it with a carbide drill bit .im not sure what that. (bed frames are made of but its some stronge -hard shit metal . .

Paper clips as temporary throttle linkage on 63 el camino

used two screw drivers and a set of vise grips to shift a 3 speed transmission on a 76 dodge van when the linkage broke on a trip.

actaully i could go on forever, i kinda grew up drag racing cars, living in a junk yard

speaker wire hooked up to the throttle linkage in a 74 GMC "bushtruck" also, method of starting cold

1. Remove air filter
2. Pour can of gas down carb
4. crank over truck
5. If backfire ocurrs, pour beer over flaming carb to extinguish flames
6. if no backfire, slam hood, pour beer down throat, and enjoy!

lol, talk to demrok, this thing was a classic!

lol we ripped the cat right off Reg's 78 Monte Carlo, and he had the courtesy to start it up while I was still layin next to the straight pipe :) Ran it like that for a couple weeks was it? and then the cops told him to fix it because it was too loud :D

and the bush trush WAS a classic, just don't let the drunks try to put out the fire on the carb!!

my ElCamino was the same way... if i let it sit for a week the only way to start it was to pour gas straight into the carbs.
