Which colour is the best for a daily-driver car?

This car is systematic, hyyydromatic...why it's greased lightning!

Which colour is the best for a daily-driver car?

Post by Viperoni »

I was thinking something along the lines of a champagne, or perhaps deep blue....maybe red......anything wrong with white? I love silver too. Black....maybe not since the car gets too damm hot.
The car would probably be a newish buick of some sort...

According to Consumer Reports, the exterior color of the car actually has little effect on the intereior temperature. They did a test and white to black only showed a 4 degree difference. Any dark color or metallic paint won't last as long before it starts fading though. Dark colors (especially black) also show flaws better, white hides the most. Although if it's dirty it will be brown. :)

Hmm....interesting :)

My dads basically looking for a 4 door....bigger sized car with an engine at least 200hp.....and domestic of course :)
I'm thinking Intrepid ES (new gen), buick regal/century/lesabre....possibly an olds aurora (*drool* aurora :) )....something along those lines.

Damm Impala SS being in high demand :(

Another pretty nice car is the Gran Prix. It's front wheel drive but still handles pretty well for a 4 door. It has the same 4.3L Vortec V6 they put in the base model Camaros and Firebirds. It's a really peppy little motor that gets decent gas mileage and still puts out around 200hp. They also offer a GTP version with a mild supercharger that is rated at 240hp.

Oops. My bad, I think it's actually the 3.8L (3800 series). Still a peppy little motor.
