The original 2 seater AMX was somewhere between being a pony car like the Mustang, Camaro and in some ways competed with the 2 seater Corvette.

The 1970-81 Camaro's & Firebirds had that swoopy, racy styling.

The Dodge Demon of the early 70s, which had a funny cartoon devil decal with pitchfork.

And the comparatively saintly Mustang Stallion package.

It's not quite a classic -- yet, but I've recently picked up a 1990 Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo to play around with when I have some free time. I will post some pics once I get it painted. A freind of mine is selling a '73 Mach 1 right now, I was thinking of buying it, but I just can't afford two spare cars right now. It needs some restoration, but the thing is gorgeous, you can feel the ground shake when you fire it up.

A 1973 Mach 1 351 was the star in the original 1974 Gone in 60 Seconds movie. Last of the original 1964-73 Mustangs.

It looks just like that only it's tan. It was originaly red, you can see the red where the paint is peeling in the door jams

The 1973 shape is pretty good looking. I think it's worth less in collector value than the earlier years so it's a real bargain.

1973 is a sweet ride i spent plenty a mile in one of them in my youth ! wish i still had the car !
was a jade green with a stock chrome front bumper. but OEM Mach 1 package silver stripping - don't ask i take the fifth. as to how it had a Mach 1 OEM package and chrome front package

also had custom rear tail lights that when on would look like 3 diamonds. i know at the time a older guy who owned a plastic fabergating shop and he design them for the car . got the car new in 1993 and had it till i sold it in 1997 the guy who bought it wrap it around a tree

it was as all mustangs not a car for passengers the back seats really do suck to ride in ! and the trunks are small !

That's sad how the car got wrecked.

In those days there were so many trim, paint, sports options you got some unusual cars.

Yes, the long hood and short rear deck didn't make them much of a grocery getter. Fun, but impractical, most of those cars had really tiny trunks, even with a space saver spare tire.
This Mark Donohue Javelin looks special though, worth a lot too.
