So all that extra power just gets the snow to go farther... I would have figured that the forward speed would have been greater. I could deal with a 30' throw if the thing could chew through at a higher speed.

I think it's limited by the size of the lower unit which isn't any different than any large home bought snowblower. I think it's more "look what I built with my spare engine", not that he built the ultimate snowblower with it.

The Air Guard has a monster here they use to clear runways. It will cut through 10 feet with no problemo.
