this I know first hand from me and my sister in-law both have own Volvo's of asst years going back till 1968 model years till 1996. will say there brakes systems were great till you went to rebuild the caliber's and loose one or both of the rubber O rings and try and fine a replacement. talk about a nightmare fining the right size .maybe if you worked in the dealership. things be ok but trying to find them from a auto part was tuff.and for me the nearest dealer was about 2 hours away. so I gave up on owning volvo's for that reason in part- lack of a dealership near by. they are great cars and have really improved on styling. will say there were really well built cars but lacked in styling . passenger safety came before exterior design for years. the new models are stylish now !Long ago (until the mid 90s) Volvo 4 cyl cars were actually designed for access to work on things but eventually their engineers also forgot about the guys who have to fix things.
