F-150 Triton 5.4L

Post by eGoCeNTRoNiX »

Hey Guys,

My first time changing the oil in my F-150 (just got it) it's a 98 F-150 and I'm curious as to "how much" oil I need to replace. I'm not a noob to changing oil, just the oil in this truck. I have 5 quarts of Penzoil 10w30 and I would assume that's enough for this engine (too much for my GrandAm haha) as it's got a V8. But if somebody knows the exact number I'd appreciate it.

I dont think its possible to put too much oil in a ford! :P

just put 5 in and start it so the filter gets filled then check it. I use about 5.5 on my wagon.

TY Tony, I just didn't look far enough on google. I'll stop tomorrow and pick up another quart for it. Oil Pressure reads OK, so I should be good to go until I get to AZ tomorrow. :)
