rsx-s vs. bmw
i was driving home on the interstate tonight and a bmw came flying up on my right trying to pass myself and the other cars in the fast lane. he got stuck behind the right lane traffic and kept cutting back and forth between both lanes trying to get around us. we were all cruising along at 80-85mph in the left lane...apparently this was not fast enough for this guy. so, i watched the guy and laughed as he kept trying to cut around us only to get up behind more traffic and have to hit his brakes...then slow back down and go behind us again. this went on for about 10 minutes and then the traffic cleared. i thought to myself "ok, i shouldn't do this...but WTF".
i waited until i was out in front and there was no traffic as far as i could see...i stayed in the left lane and he cut over and floored it as usual. i stayed in 6th gear and just accelerated slowly to see how fast he was willing to go. he was gaining pretty good so i went to 5th...slightly gaining...then his car lurches and goes for it. i drop into 4th and floor it...and he begins to fade away. i let off when i hit 8000rpm in 4th and shifted back to 6th. hit around 115mph and was laughing so hard that his $40,000 car couldn't keep up with my acura. hahahaha
after having my fun i slowed back down and drove normally and let him fly past and he got up to more traffic and probably changed lanes AT LEAST 10 times before he was out of site...hitting his breaks and zip-zagging constantly.
i just looked up the stats on the 525i and now see why he couldn't keep up...they have no power/weight ratio.
3450lbs (+driver) and 184hp.
boy i wish i had a new M3 though! heheheheehe
