X-Men, Verticle Limit, Debbie Does..

Post by blade »

Just recently saw these 2 flims for the first time. Wow, did I ever miss da boat with X-Men. I was thinking it'd be for kiddies along with a stupid story. I wuz wrong. The story was the best part about it. Actually I was amazed how well the characters were developed, that really added to it. Of course they left off any background for the other 2, Cyclops and Storm. I can understand leaving out cyclops but not da babe Storm. I wanna know more, hehe. But Rogue was a cutie fer sher. Great lips eh. :D

Figures, after I finish it then I see the features on the DVD. It has another version of the movie with scenes that were cut. Guess I'll have to see it again, hehe. Another surprise was how low key Patrick Stewart was. Never seen him so calm. That guy who playes wolverine was darn good and that chick who played Rogue was not only cute but fun to watch because of her emotions. Interesting effects and action too.

Verticle Limit I may have to see again to be sure if i like it or not. Sometimes my mood will interfere with enjoying a flim. But I didn't like it. The mountain climbing was ok but the story just lacked a lot. It seemed to take any fun away. And somehow I just couldn't get use to chrissy as a mountain man.

Yeah X-Men was a great movie, one of the first DVD's I bought (and I don't own too many DVD's). Vertical Limit was OK, just a "dumb" movie that you watch for the SFX and action if you're in the mood, but really only worth one viewing...

I was really looking forward to vertical limit and pretty disappointed - the technical stuff was all wrong and i couldn't really get past that - kept expecting sylvester stallone to make an appearance.

didn't care too much for xmen

I was also a little disappointed with the movie 'Vertical Limit'. :(

The special Fx was good but the story lacked any substance. I also thought to myself that viewing it once was enough.

x-men was great. One of the first dvd's I got. Wolverine was excellent. Very believable. If you did not get it yet, I hope you got it when kmart was selling it at $9.94. :)

I have been reading the Xmen comic book since the days John Byrne both drew and wrote it, and I have been waiting for this movie at least that long. I can say as a Xmen fan that this movie was excellent, a truly well done comic book movie (and there have not been that many). I saw Vertical Limit at the theatre, it wasonly OK so i do not plan on purchasing the DVD.

Yeah I am looking forward to Spiderman as well. All the spidey goodness and Kirsten Dunst as Mary Jane to boot! Mmmmm.....Kirsten Dunst.........

Vertical limit was disappointing. In fact, the only real cool part of the movie was the part where the two guys got vaporized by the nitrocl. That was cool. The rest....ech.

Now Xmen rocked!

That kmart xmen deal has got to be one of the sweetest so far. I remember buying for $18 when it first came out and I thought that was cheap.

Yeah, I also want to see Spidey in all its glory. My first great experience with the web crawler was when Todd McFarlane started drawing him in Amazing Spiderman comics series with issue#297 (got the whole series btw. :) ). The art was so fresh and new. It kept me coming back since the way he drew him was none that I have seen before.

wow, that brought back memories.

Excuse the OT. :)
