I had almost 40 DVDs, but I sold most of them since I don't watch them anymore, I think I have about 15 DVDs now....I use Netflix all the time, so I don't really need to BUY a DVD to see it.

I have a whole 8 DVD's, but I just got it the player few months ago. A movie has to be pretty spectacular for me to buy it tho, the vast majority of movies I watch are one time only.

302 DVD's!?! Damn, at an average of $15 (US) a pop, that's over $4500, good god man you like your movies!

I got most of mine for half off or better. During the VA deal, the super checkout.com 55% off deal and the buy.com $10 off when they had all DVD's for 15 plus free shipping. $4.99 DVD's me likey. And some more for under 10 each from columbiahouse using their deals. Using other various coupons I got some DVD's for a buck or 2.

Since then I only buy ones I really love so I agree with ya there. I've only purchased ones like BraveHeart, The Kid and Jurassic Park recently. Those all were around 15. The 6th day I got for 6.71 using a GC.

I first got into DVD's thanks to Apex when he brought up the $10 off coupons for a DVD store(forgot the name).

I know nexus got most of his real cheap too.

I usually buy a DVD before going out to the movies. Why?

Cost of movie for me and the lady: $15.50
Avg cost of a DVD: $20 (at B&M)

So.. For only $4.50 more, I can OWN a movie. I also noticed that my 5.1 setup at home is better than most theater sound. At theaters, they tend to turn up the bass and 'loudness', which distorts the hell out of the sound.

So, when it comes down to it, I can sit at home, be more comfortable, and OWN a movie for only $4.50 extra. And if I want movie snack-food, it is cheaper. My apt also happens to stock beer, and any movie theater I have ever been to does not.

The sad thing is that I have little DVD fundage this semester. Paying off credit cards (sigh). Hopefully, my DVD purchasing can pick up again when all the balances are back to 0.

Oh, yeah. I own approximately 50 DVDs.

I've got about 30 so far. Recently when I'm in the mood to rent, instead of going to Blockbuster and spending 4$, I'll go to Walmart and buy one for 9$. They have shelves of DVDs for 9$ and then some for 14$. D@mn cheap!

the way I count disks is if it is a double disk set and the second disk ins Not able 2 be purchesed seperatly U have ONE if U can get the second disk seperate U have two. Like lets see MIB I have the double disk set but only one is a movie the second is info and other useless stuff making it a 1 disk count. but then U have the toystory double disk set that has both toy story one and toy story 2 U have 2 movies. :)
