I usually don't like listening live performances, but I think the performance he did on Jimmy Kimmel sounds better than the studio recording. The studio recording sounds flat by comparison. Maybe it's just my sound engineer ears.
What you guys think?
Had this song stuck in my head all week. I like the 80s retro sound.

Christians warn us about the anti-christ for 2,000 years, and when he shows up, they buy a bible from him.

Yea the performance on the Jimmy Kimmel show does sounds better.

The studio version suffers from muddy drums. They are brighter live.

If you didn't see it, he did a hell of a performance at the VMAs, on a rooftop with helicopters flying around him with search lights like they're looking for a fugitive.
Matter of fact there were a lot of great performances. I think the social distanced performances made for an interesting spectacle with most performances on rooftops, and coordinated with fireworks. Must have been one hell of a technical challenge, though.
I really don't bother watching the VMAs anymore because of the screaming audience mosh pits, and all the drama. I liked this though.

How can they still have the VMAs when they never show videos?

I usually don't give a rat's behind about music awards, but even I have to wonder at the Wkend getting snubbed by the Grammys. This song was in the top 10 of Billboard's Top 100 for a record breaking 40 weeks.
