Sigh... why the hell do they have to totally trash the ship in every movie? It's like super hero movies: how many times do we have to destroy entire cities?

I expected this crap from a Fast and Furious Director. Is it too much to ask that a Star Trek movie take place in space? Is it some kind of running gag now that every ship Kirk captains gets destroyed?
