DOOM the movie

I went into this movie (watched it at home) thinking it was going to be a POS, but I came out of with with an OK, or simply mindless entertainment.
My biggest compliant with the movie is it did not follow the original game - Doom was about an aerospace agency experimenting with dimensional gateways and thus opening a portal to Hell, spilling demons out that soon started warring with mankind. Instead, we have a zombie movie like all the other ones that Hollywood has dumped in our laps.
They included 4 of the demons from the Doom games: the Zombie, the Imp, the Pinky, and the Baron or Hell Knight. You see more of the Zombies than any other, but, the Imps and Barons? They don't shoot fireballs anymore?. The Barons use brute force, while the Imps either just scratch or attack you with their tongue to turn you into an Imp. Surely Hollywood could have done a better job and coming closer to the original game than this.
As for weapons, you see a Rocket Launcher, but it's never used. The Shotgun is used only a couple of times, but you never see a Plasma Gun or a Double-Barrel shotgun in action. The BFG is there, and used only twice in the movie. The Chainsaw was used once, but for me there was not enough killing/action like the Doom game. Most of the action was random in my opinion. There was a section of the movie that had a first person view like the original game, but it did not deliver much to suck in the viewer to pretend he's the good guy killing all the bad demons.
If you a Doom fan, then wait until it hits the rental shelves to see it. Other than that, it's not a very good movie IMHO, as there was not enough action sequences for me to consider this flick like the Doom game.
