Spiderman 2 !

Post by blade »

Anyone seen it yet?

Broke records for an opening day, over 40 million buckaroos! :; Top wednesday opening ever too. Great googly moogly! :s tooges
http://www.boxofficemojo.com/articles/n ... 0630bo.htm
Spider-Man 2 made no sacrifice in its Wednesday bow, capturing a stunning $40.4 million.

The $200 million plus Marvel Comics adaptation snared the biggest opening day ever, besting the original Spider-Man's $39.4 million -- a record that had stood since that picture's May 3, 2002 debut.

Spider-Man 2 also scored the top Wednesday ever, soaring past The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King's $34.5 million.

Spiderman is by far my all time fav comicbook. But I liked both xmen movies much better than the first spiderman, and I never liked xmen comics. The first spidey was ok, but wasn't as good as I wanted. Kind of made me angry in places.

This one is getting rave review with many saying it's better, with some saying the best comic to movie ever.

And, it has Doc Ock. >? My all time fav villain.

Anyone? Bueller?

Holey Moley!! >? :" :s urf

FAR better than the first movie. Better effects, better story and very emotional. And Doc Ock was grrrreat! :chug

This made up for the first one, or maybe just put it all together. Damn good movie. Excellent acting from maguire, dunst and even aunt may.

Ed Harris, De Niro and sam neil were considered for the Doc Ock role. But Alfred Molina was perfection as Ock. Remember him as Satipo, Indy's sidekick at the beginning of Raiders of the Lost Ark. Spiders crawled all over him and Indy at the beginning. He's the one who tried to keep that gold head, and wouldn't give Indy his whip back. Then later he played a guy who can't get a girl in Species.

Maguire hurt his back in seabiscuit and looked like he may not be available for this movie. So the producers went after dunst's boy friend, jake something. Saw him in the day after and he didn't seem right at all. But maguire got better. May have had something to do with being offered 17mil. :d But he did well as spidey, again. Even better in this movie. To me anyway.

This movie satisfied me. It may be the best comic to movie ever. Gotta see it a few more times though. But it's no doubt in my all-time top 5, at the very least. Easily on par with either xmen movies. 'Maybe' better.

The scenes with Doc Ock were amazin'! And he (molina) showed the emotion needed for that character. :cool

This truly was, "The Amazin' Spiderman" :) Image

Had many funny scenes and 1-liners too. That elevator part :lmao

Just saw it today with part of my family. Man, what a hell-of-a flick! Excellent story lines throughout the entire movie. Lots of emotional parts, as Peter is torn between being his normal self or Spiderman. And of course, there will be a 3rd installment. The story line is so well written and acted out on the screen that at times, I thought I was watching a Speilberg film like Indiana Jones. Another must have on DVD when released.

just saw it this afternoon...it was $%@%^'ing AWESOME.

but....(not really spoilers...but don't read if you are paranoid!!!)

i disagreed with alot of the action because of doc oc. from the movie's storyline of how doc oc was created...his tentacles are super strong and all...but he is just a fat old scientist that has them attached to him....so when spiderman is pounding on his face and such he should have just been done with right away! i'm not sure how it happened in the comic books...but there was no reason or explanation in the movie of how doc oc had any special strength or powers except for the things that were fused to his spine. ??????

Well, I've not seen it yet..

I've been told I'm wrong about this..

But I always thought the tentacles were actually like a belt or a back pack kind of that he just "wore" because I thought in one issue somebody stole the tentacles from Doc. Oc.. Could be wrong though..

Thats possible... If I remember correctly, the webbing was cartridges that he made himself, and put into a web shooter under his sleeve, in the movie, he can make it just come out... but GREAT FLICK !
