Damn, I am looking forward to this movie. Excellent and very cool site they have. Flash is needed and speakers on:

I still hated it was cut in two. But the first one is a total classic in my book. The second is getting rave reviews from the critics. Of course, that isn't always good. But in this case, I feel sure it is.

Lot's of interest in this movie eh.


It may have been my mood, but I didn't like it. Though when david carradine was onscreen, those scenes were the best. He was plain awesome. Great delivery by him and he made bill very interesting.

Mostly boring movie and the final fight with bill was waaaaay too quick. Too much boring dialogue, except by bill. No cool music like the first one had, and the fight scenes were not nearly as good or satisfying. Not nearly as good in any ways as the first, imo.

A long blank spot makes you think something went wrong with the movie reel. That wasn't at all needed. Just like how he beeped out uma's name in the first movie. Served no purpose at all imo. And made that long fight scene go to black and white.


Question for anyone who has seen it. The redneck theatre here screwed it up. I think. After the previews before the movie, all of a sudden the lights came back on and the screen closed. Then opened back up to the movie already playing. Was that intentional? If not, what did I miss? It started with uma driving.

Also, the ending ended with a quick flash of a title across the screen saying something like "the lioness is back with her cub". Then before I could fully read the second line, very abruptly the screen was blank and the lights came back on. Was that how it really ended? I doubt it. But I'd like to know for sure, and if not, how it did end. thanks

Kill Bill Vol. 1 is on DVD now. But I read later this year he will release a collectors edition of it. Then later with the two movies togther. Then even later with them both on the same DVD fit together. Man, it's one thing that this ws originally suppose to be one movie, then they split it in two. Talk about trying to maximize profits. a-lah in ways like t2 did I suppose.

And of course longer versions of kb1 were released in japan, and other counties too. Japan got the full un-edited version. I assume that will be released here too eventually. The 8th DVD release perhaps.

I saw it this morning with my son, and I have to agree with your analysis of the movie. It was not that exciting as the first, but still a good movie. What I missed was all the action, and the ending, I left expecting more action fighting sceens like the first movie, especially since this was David Caradine from the old Kung Fu days.

There is a great trailer scene between Daryl Hannah (who hasn't looked this sexy in a movie in years) and the gorgeous Uma Thurman did an outstanding acting job in this movie or series of movies. After watching both, maybe they could have combined them into one movie 3 hours in length? I might have given it a 10 out of 10 since it would have had the storyline (from vol 2) and the action from vol 1.

I like this movie - it's not a repeat of the first film and it's a fine follow-up to it. There's no way that Quentin could have topped the "House of the Blue Leaves" scene from KB.Vol 1.

I didn't like the cheapness of Beatrix forgeting her training and rushing in to confront Budd - it goes against what we saw of her in the first film, taking her time and thinking and planning her actions...

And I did enjoy Sam Jackson's cameo...

I loved Vol.1 , and yeah Vol. 2 had more dialogue and less action that I would have liked, but it still was a good movie and had a lot of good parts to it...

Well, I saw it again and this time I loved it. Some movies get me this way. Like The Jackal, I hated that when I first saw it, then loved it later.

The music wasn't nearly as good as in KB1, but the dialogue is great all the way through. The emotion shown by Budd and Bill is awesome.

Not as much action as KB1, but what there was is still good. I feel cheated not having Uma and Budd fight. Though he and Elle did have a interesting 'meeting'.

And the final fight between Bill and Uma was shortened. Originally, it was to be them sword fighting on the beach, Uma in her bride outfit. The idiotic producer ordered it shorted. Baaad move. But, it was still good. Just too quick of an ending after all the build up. The parts right before were total classic.

But all the parts with Bill (Carridine) are great! <i>"I'm the man"</i> >?
Madsen, Uma and Hannah all did very well and had memorable scenes and lines. But to me, Carradine really was "the man". He was never better.

*Also, the sword used by Bill is the same one used by Bruce Willis in pulp fiction.


Other interesting things that may interest only me :

<i>Elle Driver wears the same outfit that Uma Thurman wears in Pulp Fiction (1994). It was also worn by Pam Grier in Jackie Brown (1997).

Robert Rodriguez scored this movie for $1. Quentin Tarantino said he would repay him by directing a segment of Rodriguez's project Sin City (2005) for $1.

The climax of the film was originally written as a sword-fight on the beach under the moonlight between The Bride (clad in her wedding dress) and Bill. When the production ran long, Harvey Weinstein insisted Tarantino cut the scene back. All that remains is Bill's brief reference to such a fight while The Bride sits on his sofa, and the poster for the film with The Bride in dress holding her sword.

Michael Jai White (Spawn) filmed several scenes in Volume Two with David Carradine, but were cut from the final theatrical version for pacing</i>

Too bad on that last part. It would have been great to see Bill in actual action. But, it'll be on one of the DVD's no doubt.

All in all, from start to finish I thought it was slightly better than KB1. Though the last half of KB1 was the best, by far.


Later both movies are to be released in theatres all-together. Then later on DVD. SE editions, a box set, etc.. :;


Sin City, btw, is looking like another awesome <b>kick-ass</b> movie. Has Bruce Willis, Madsen, Alba and directed by Rodriguez (directer of from dusk till dawn and desperado):
