Yes it was good. It took a while to get going, but from watching the previews I knew it would eventually.

Anyone else think it was like he took parts from all his other books and threw them all together? The mentally disabled being revealed as a being of great power such as in "The Lawnmower Man", the finding of a missing child from "Stand by Me", the biohazard drama of "The Stand." It even reminded me of "It"; the difference being the aliens weren't wearing clown suits.

It reminded me the most of IT, but now that you mention some of the others it fell into those roles as well..
