Ok...up until now <b><i>'Eraserhead'</i></b> was the most weird film I've ever watched....
Now however it's been surpassed by <b><i>'Tetsuo - The Iron Man'</i></b>....this has to be the weirdest film I've ever watched....
So come on folks....whats the weirdest film you've ever watched????

Never saw Eraserhead Wolfy, the few tidbits I saw of it looked like an obvious one to stay away from.
The only one that comes to my mind at this moment was a movie called "Brazil". That was a strange movie and I had a hard time following it, an I still don't know what it was about. But no mind, it sucked, maybe that's why I had a hard time following it. hehe

I think it was 12 Monkeys w/ Bruce willis. What the f_ck was that all about. "Oh, I know. We put a famous person in our dumb movie and people will come to watch"

Nah I gotta admit I really like 12 Monkeys and Brazil...they are amongst my favourite film of all time...
But gotta agree on Clockwork Orange...a very strange film that never lived up to all the hype...

Brazil is a fantastic movie. It was a little too strange for Universal Studio's blood though. They weren't even going to release it. After it won the New York Film Critics award, and after Terry Gilliam made a big stink, they were 'forced' to released it.

Saw it when I was rather young, FREAKED me out man!
Have seen some wacky foreign films that i didn't understand the name too!

Repo Man has to be one of the stranger ones followed by some Japense film I saw years ago called Overlord which made absolutly no sense whatsoever although I know that's not that unsual for Jap films.
Oh and that film where Nicholas Cage drives around in an Ambulance a very wierd yet very boring film.

A movie that comes to mind is Bram Strokers Dracula, with Winona Rider. I have tried to read the book when I heard about the movie. Halfway I just brought the book back to the library cause it was just such complete crap. I still don't understand how someone can enjoy reading that book. Then a few months later I saw the movie with my sister and a friend. We all thought it was the most odd movie we ever saw. I never understooth why everyone seemed to love that movie.

The reason I liked Bram Stoker's Dracula was because the cinematography was beautiful. The director seemed to pay careful attention to matching mood and lighting.

Rynn, actually the book was revolutionary for it's time, much as Mary Shelley's Frankenstein was, I have read both and while they did not hold the same fascination as Anne Rice's vampire series did, now those were fantastic and incredibly well written, but a hundred years from now people will call them trite and a sign of the times.
