Well I picked up the DVD and watched it and well I think it's a very good flick but I also think that some parts are confusing if Part I wasn't seen. I guess you assume the injection that Blade gave was the magical medicine created by Karen to treat people biten by vampires? Do you also assume it worked perfectly fine? There are a few things that also kind of set up a sequel, should we expect a Blade 3? Also, the fight scenes are great except for the oh so great WWF moves......

"I guess you assume the injection that Blade gave was the magical medicine created by Karen to treat people biten by vampires?"

no...i think it's the regular "serum" he used in the first movie...or maybe an improved version (made by karen?) due to his increasing immunity to it. karen originally created an antidote that cured the retro-virus infection caused by vampire bites. if blade was given that cure, he would lose all of his powers and become a regular shmoe. (which would be a good weapon against him...maybe that'll happen in the 3rd movie?)

I was talkin bout what Blade gave to Whistler, just didn't wanna give oh too much away. yeah, you do assume what Blade takes is the super-serum created by karen.

ah. sorry for the confusion! :)

btw: the dvd is sweet. the only thing i was disappointed with is that the Dolby Digital seems to sound better than the DTS track...which is unusual. (i love DTS!!!) :(

Hmmmmm DTS has always sounded better to me. (i.e. Gladiator). Now, I wanna get a DTS-ES system and see if the rear center channel; is actually worth it.

I seen it in the theater haven't bought the DVD yet but i'll agree with ya Busby the movie was good but they could have done without the cheesey ass WWF moves they did in a few of the fight scenes... It kinda ruined it for me with that crap...

yup. the DD seemed alot more crisp/clear on this dvd than the DTS track. all other DTS dvd's i own sound MUCH better (to me) than the DD equivalent.

and i was all excited because of the DD-ES and DTX-EX (or DD-EX and DTX-ES...or whatever! haha)

(i'm running a Denon 2802 6.1 receiver)
