OK, MUSIC....opinions wanted on a good, portable, "useable" MP3 player?

I say "useable" because from what I'm seeing, a decent one that can hold a fair amount of music isn't cheap. Those with small size memory like 32-64mbs don't hold many tunes unless it's one that uses the same smartmedia cards that my digital camera uses as that memory is now cheap (like 64mb for $17).
I've never owned one of these but I'm thinking about it and just want any opinions on what's decent vs what sucks?

Yeah that's what I got, the Sony CD/MP3 player. You can burn, what, 100 MP3's or more on a CDR? Pretty sweet, and of course it plays regular CD's as well. It's light, skip-proof, and not too big. I really like it for working out at the gym so I don't have to listen to crap dance music they play there... ;)

Thanks Tunis, that looks like a winner. Makes more sense than having a MP3 player only and the price is right too.
