These two movies I find very unique, each has their own twist. Requeim of a Dream really sends a message about drugs. The Others I find very freaky, bone-chilling. Enjoyed them both.

Anybody else watched either of them? What are your thoughts on them?

Requiem is great. I have it on DVD, and every time I watch it, I feel impacted by it. Requiem is a visceral, emotional movie that really affects you. My kids will be watching it one day. If requiem doesn't teach them anything about drugs, nothing will.

I really liked "The Others". It's hard to recommend to people w/o blowing the ending, but the ads are doing a good job of that already with all the "A wicked twist of an ending!" quotes. Now , peeps will be sitting there the whole time waiting for something.

Yeah, that ruined "The Sixth Sense" for me. I knew there was a 'surprise' ending. I figured it out 5 minutes into the movie.

Thus, I didn't like it that much. The whole movie was sipmly a long ending. If you figure out the ending too fast, the rest is just long and drawn out.

Requiem was extremely effective and powerful.

I felt miserable and depressed after watching it. I think this was Ellen Burstyn's finest performance to date.

Requeim was a really messed movie, I watched it the other nite and I was like WOW!!! another movie by the same director or producer (dont remember which) is Pi..............Now thats a really FUCTED up movie, if ya liked Requiem I would recommand Pi, even though it is a different type of movie it is diffinitly worth a watch )
