Edge of Tomorrow

Never saw it in the theater, but I just got the DVD via Netflix.

I have to say, it was surprisingly good. That's 2 good sci-fi flicks in a row for Tom Cruise (counting Oblivion).

This wasn't earth shattering, but it was a fun action flick, with an interesting - if not novel - sci-fi idea.

Without giving away any spoilers, it's Starship Troopers meets Groundhog Day (this is already revealed in the trailers). Matter of fact, I REALLY wish this directory would do a remake of Starship Troopers.

There's a little bit of romance to keep the wife/gf/significant other interested, there's a lot of humor (some of it dark humor - think back to Groundhog Day), and hell of a lot of cool exo-skeleton armored infantry vs alien combat.

It's not going to blow your mind like Interstellar, but it's an action packed fun romp.

Well worth renting.

Saw it in the theater and liked the film. Also saw Oblivion in the theater. Both good flicks.
