Saw him a couple of times back in the 60s or 70s. Wild man, but great technique.

We had front row center tickets to see him in '74. He rock stuff was great in the late 60s-70s and was also great as a blues guy with Muddy Waters in the mid-late 70s.
His health had been bad for years lately. I think his past of drug abuse finally took over, as it usually does.
