Darn good movie. Not what I expected at all. You have to get past the first 40 minutes which introduces Pi and his family and gives some background. Once the real story starts... wow.

i'll need to restart this one. i watched the first 10 min or so, got pulled away, and forgot about it.

Agreed, a great movie. I understand why they won so many awards after watching it. Richard Parker (the Tiger) was a star in it's own right, LOL!

Every time the kid called the tiger Richard Parker, I kept having flash backs to John Parker from Buckaroo Bonzai :)

My wife didn't like the book at all. I'll give the movie a chance though.
