Great movie. Lots of action. Movie is a cross between Independence day and Call of Duty. My only complaint about the movie was the hand shaky camera effect. Aaron Eckhart and Michelle Rodriguez did a great acting job. Funny how Michelle has been cast for the girl in the military role.

Call me dumb... But it seems like I have seen previews for what seems like 5 movies that all "look" the same and have similar concepts but have different plots.

No offense, but I was coming here to post the exact opposite review. Maybe I'm just becoming a movie snob with age, but I felt that it was shamefully made. The actors tried, but the dialogue as well as the character descriptions were horribly cliché. The plot very predictable (I called the outcome of multiple scenes... hoping that I would be wrong). The special effects weren't even all that impressive relative to other recent action movies. I didn't come to the movie expecting much (I told my wife that I wanted things to blow up), but by the end, I felt that I wasted my time. Should have went to see Red Riding Hood (which I've heard mixed reviews on as well).

I love sci-fi movies and it does not matter how bad most are as I enjoy them for entertainment. The acting was fine with the 2 actors I mentioned. Predictable? Yeah. I could say the same for just about almost all the movies I've seen.

watched this last night...it wasn't quite what i expected, but i liked it for what it was...aliens and things blowing up. a little more backstory would have been cool too.
