Will there be more Cowboy Bebop?

Post by Solstice »

I dunno... I'm asking you guys.

I recently had one of those "I need to spend money... like fast" days so I bought the boxed edition of Cowboy Bebop. I watched all 6 dvd's in about a week and absolutely loved it. Of course, it left me thirsting to see more. I hope they realize what a masterpiece they have on their hands.

Looking at how it ended I kinda doubt it ... but I like to see more of that caliber.
This is one of the finest Anime I've seen so far, definetly in my personal top 5.
Cowboy Bebop has everything and then some.
I like this review and there's nothing to add to it -> http://www.animeondvd.com/discdata/esse ... _bebop.htm
There is also a tremendously original presentation of the characters. Each character is unique, no two being even remotely the same, and yet none of them are ever delved into anymore then they have to be. With each character, we are given what we need to know to understand their part in the story, yet never given more then we have to. In that way, the characters become even more real. I truly wanted to know more about this universe and the characters in it when the series ended, yet I didn’t find anything that was “necessary” missing from the series. That fact was what really told me at the end of the final episode that this series had left a major impact on me and that these characters were really ones I cared about.

I am with Doc on this, I don't see how they can possibly make more. It ended in a very final manner. If the story was continued with the remaining characters, it might feel bastardized.

Btw, nice to see you back, solstice. Some guys were asking about you over in the cheers forum.

It's going well, thanks for asking. I'm still working... which is a rare thing these days.

And I agree with what you've all said. The series was perfection and, as they saying goes, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." I just hope we will see more from the team who brought us Bebop.
