Micron and Microsoft have struck a deal where Micron will supply DDR memory for the X-Box game console. The console will be outfitted with 200MHz 2 Meg X 32 DDR SDRAMs providing 6.4GB of bandwidth.
Damn that console is going to be awesome.
X-box to use DDR ram from Micron
cool
Wow that ought to rock.I havent owned a console since the Sega Genisis(sp?)but I have planned on getting the X-box.Not only because I think it's gonna rock the console world but I wish to support an American effort in the console market.Plus MS has seemed to have rallied alot of big game devs so the X-box should provide alot of quality tittles.
I still might get a DC to hold me over,it seems to have alot of great looking games for it and the unit isnt expensive(unlike the PS2 right now).

Yeah, MS does have alot of good develpers behind its back. Additionally they also make some great titles themselves (Midtown madness 1,2, Links, Age of Empire, Flight Sims, and others)With the year ahead, alot of dev's have time to come up with some quality games, and they can write the games as if they were for a computer. X-box should look basically pretty close to a computer, with the convenience of a console, that would rule.
Theres only one thing i REALLY hope M$ doesnt do...and thats what Sony is doing. They only released 500,000 and are only shipping a low number volume till Christmas. They are doing this to peak interest and to drive sales. This keeps the price from dropping too quickly, so they can charge more in the long run. Since M$ has a year to get this box ready, i don't think they will do that. Lets hope
I love zelda too...i still haven't played the new one though. Any good?
