Exactly, this was a big downer for me, "pre-Black" Metallica was some of the best music I've heard in my entire life, I would listen to it over and over again and love it more and more, especially songs like: Sanitarium, Fade to Black, One... well the list goes on, Black was OK, it had a few good songs but it was the start of their downfall into mediocrity...
