I wish I could remember who wrote this so I could give him/her credit.

The United States of America apologizes to the People's Republic of China for allowing our slow, lumbering reconnaissance plane to be hit by your poorly trained, hot-dogging fighter pilot, while flying in international airspace.
We're sorry we have to fly surveillance missions to monitor a country that has nuclear missiles pointed at us.

We're sorry your pilot didn't follow international standards of fighter intercept protocol.

We're sorry his aircraft recognition skills were so poor he didn't realize the EP-3 aircraft was propeller driven and flew his aircraft through its propeller arc, destroying his aircraft and nearly killing 24 American crewmen.

We're sorry your fighter pilot's survival training and equipment was so inadequate that he couldn't survive until your poorly trained and equipped navy could find him (they turned down our offer for search and rescue assistance).

We're sorry you violated international law and arrested the crewmen of an aircraft that legally diverted into your airfield under emergency conditions caused by your pilot's actions, after being led there by one of your other pilots.

We're sorry you violated international law and boarded a state aircraft.

We're sorry the world is now seeing you for the enemy of freedom, truth, and democracy that you really are.

We're sorry you see yourself as a superpower when in reality you are a third world nation (the average Chinese worker earns less than $.10 a day).

We're sorry you are loosing so much face over this.

We're sorry that you were able to steal some missile and nuclear secrets from us.

We're sorry you haven't learned from the Soviet Union's collapse and failed to embrace democracy and capitalism (compare tiny Taiwan and mainland China; same people, same culture, but Taiwan's capitalistic economy is a powerhouse and China's economy is still mired in communism).

We're sorry for the future Chinese military deaths that will occur when we retaliate for your roughish behavior.

And most of all, we're sorry for the Chinese people who suffer its leaders' incompetence.

How would you feel if china flew its own spy planes around hawaii or even the west coast.

shoot em down or what?

for future reference, perhaps you should consider the whole picture before opening your mouth... it might make you look like less of a bigot.

perhaps you would like to comment on our own "superior" leaders.

have you even set foot on shanghai? can you personally testify that new york, la, or whatnot can beat the crap out of this city in terms of gradeur?

How's this? US spyplane gets caught in the act. It tries to escape and kills a pilot in the process. Yup... they're american. that makes it allll better.

No one is insulting China, Chia, just the government there. I am sure most would love a new and different government but the citizens have no choice. What happens if they complain about the government there? We do have that right here. ;)

We've had many aircraft spying on us with most from Russia. But since their fall they can't afford it anymore. Most larger countries do spy on others and always have. As long as they are in international airspace we haven't stopped them.

And btw, we didn't cause the accident. The hot dogging chinese pilot did. The lumbering US plane was on autopilot and the chinese pilot was trying a maneuver and he got too close unfortunately. In doing so he almost killed 24 americans.

This is a predominantly american forum with visitors from other countries and who are most welcome, even from China. I've seen some of the pro China forums and some of their comments like "hang the americans" etc. It ain't just us who has this "pro" attitude. peace please :)

*shrug* its a rebuttal.... kind of

anyway, keep in mind that our american system of government sometimes doesnt work as well as others... partisan politics and the sort come to mind.

Chia do you honestly beleive that the American plane was doing something that every major country doesn't do? If China is not doing it , it is only because they are not capable. My post was meant has humor and not to offend. But please China was way off base doing what they have done and nobody in their right mind can defend them and their actions. When I say "China" I mean their Govt. not the citizens

They signaled around 20 times on a channel that is international for emergency signals but never received any reply or couldn't hear any. And china does spie on other countries, the US will prove that in the meeting. see here:

I think all of us will agree that our government is far from being perfect too.

okaaayyy...
this is goin waaaay in the wrong direction.

of course every country commits espionage on others. no doubt, china has gained many technological secrets concerning nuclear weapons from us.

you need to consider how foreign countries view america and how it flexes its 'power'. to the prc, america's main goal is to subvert everything communist, which, in the past 50 or so years have been very true (vietnam, korea, cold war, etc.).

sure, one could call the prc a bunch of communist retards... i mean, i know what life is like in china. it can really suck ass. but when you get down to the root, taiwan and china are both really screwed up.

hell, my parents arent even from the mainlnad. my nationality is technically taiwanese. anyway, lets just stop this here. its really quite pointless. you're definitely free to poke fun at people/stuff, but be careful, cause people mite take pride in those peoples/stuffs.
