This is why you have to be careful when you buy stuff from Amazon or Newegg.

Re: Beware
It looks like the customer reviews got mixed up with the drive. LOL

Re: Beware
I actually heard about this scam. The scam is even more elaborate than you think. The drive does show up as the size it was supposed to be when connected to the PC or Mac, but when you open it up there is something like a 64 GB SD card in a USB to SD card adapter, hot glued inside. The controller is modded to mis-report it's size.
Why all that trouble? Because the drive WOULD work, for a while, until you filled the SD card. This might prevent someone from realizing they were scammed for months, and maybe just write it off as defective.
Not meant to fool someone like us, but a computer noob? Yeah, they have no idea that a 16TB portable drive for $100 is impossible.
Notice that's the only product that reseller sells?

Re: Beware
I actually reported that to Amazon's Twitter (curious how Amazon doesn't seem to have any scam reporting ability). Got a response and they asked for details. Let's see if they take it down, but you know the same seller will just pop up under a different name.
