They just opened eligibility up to the 50+ in Ohio. My group, 40+, should be next. The wife, and RN, already had her two doses.

CDC site says to drink plenty fluids afterwards, and not to stop moving arm if it hurts ( try and use as you normally would ).
On a non-governmental site, I read many comments by folks who said applying one those ice (cooling ) gels to injection site helped with the pain.

Oh, that's great, Err; they only just recently opened to 60+ here in NYS.
How did your wife fare?

She had to take the next day off work after the second shot. It made her really tired. My mom way the same way after her second shot. However, after 24 hours, they were both fine.

I'm glad it wasn't worse, Err.

Oh, gosh,,, hope you and the missus feel better soon, reno.

======

My mom, who is 90, had absolutely nothing bother her after her first shot,,, not even her arm.
I was keeping a close eye on her and she showed no signs of her arm hurting and was using it normally. It's her upcoming 2nd shot that I'm concerned about, which the CDC say can carry a big punch in up to 50% of people.

She should be better within 48 hours. Everyone is different. My dentist told me that one patient they had reacted to the first dose, but nothing on the second dose.
For me, it was a slow process that started with a mild headache after 24 hours. I rarely get headaches so I knew my body was going to work on producing anti-bodies. Then the chills came along with some minor body pains. When I went to bed that night, I felt okay, not 100%, because I still had some chills. About 3 in the AM during sleep, I woke up felt very warm. When back to sleep. Woke up at 7:30am and felt great. All the symptoms I had the day before were gone.

Seems to last 24-48 hrs and then all good ,,, I'm going to assume with no major underlying problems to begin with,,.
