I'm not a big fan of video conferencing, but someone in my family organized a video conferencing session on https://Zoom.us. I don't know if it's better or worse than Skype, but it works pretty good, and didn't require me to setup an account.
Got to chat with a cousin in California who's a nurse, and some family in Florida and Tennessee.
Because I don't use web cams and disable and tape them over for security, it took me half an hour to:
a) Find a laptop with a functional forward facing camera (I used my Surface Pro)
b) Scrape the gooey tape off the camera
c) Dig through the confusing Win10 security settings to allow apps to use the camera because the first thing I always do when I setup a laptop is disable the camera

Christians warn us about the anti-christ for 2,000 years, and when he shows up, they buy a bible from him.

They make webcam covers for laptops that stick on. You slide it to undercover/cover the camera.

I'm in the same position currently. Trying to enable all kinds of cameras in the house to enable remote conferencing.
