Just finished up my first round of chemo in Baltimore - 2 days of infusions. They put a chemo port in my chest a week ago so they can put the stuff directly into a big artery in my chest. So much better that having to fool with the veins in my arms, which have gotten pretty tired out from all the poking. So far so good, not immediate reaction to the many bags of jungle juice they infused into my body. The stent they put in is working well and I can eat most simple food again and have gained a few pounds - not hungry all the time and have a little more energy, which is huge.

getting great support from family and friends which is keeping my spirit good. Thanks to all the peeps here! It all helps and adds together!

Now in week 3 of 8 week chemo regime. Gonna be a long haul..

Thanks to those who are praying and thanks to those that are fragging the little mf cancer cells in VR for me!

Well, my adventure continues - got a secondary infection in my legs - cellulitis - that put me in the hospital for 3 nights on IV antibiotics. Got home yesterday and I'm feeling a whole lot better now. Met a local oncologist who I will consult with. The full-bore 12 gauge chemo like I had isn't going to happen again. My body just can't tolerate it.
