I don't like the clamping system used when sawing the log. It needs to have a arm that also pushes towards the blade. this way the log can't go anywhere but spin.

Must be home made but I like it, huge time and physical energy saver over using a chain saw, then a splitter.
It's only handy for smaller logs like that however because you can't lift larger, heavier logs onto that.

I have seen a couple of rigs locally which feed whole trees (using something kind of like a haylift) that clamp/cut/repeat and the out ramp can be configured so that you can drive a truck under it.

That 2nd option looks just a bit more expensive. ;)
