I decided to go ahead and get the first level license and likely a modest rig. Seems like fun and a good way to be of service to the community if the need arises. I got the ARRL study guide and there's one guy I used to work with right down the road who fools with with it.

Still licensed, Technician license or whatever the equivalent. Not active anymore. Just keep it to allow me to use 6 meter channels on model aircraft radios.

Late to the party, since I don't check the forums much.

Got my license in 1992. Next renewal 2022.

I have been going to a few of the ham fests here in phoenix with my dad as of late. We both switched jobs about 3 months ago, and he has some more free time (I have more time to deal with the honey do list) and has started to do more Ham stuff.

He picked up the BaoFeng UV-5R and seems to enjoy it.

I keep my license so I don't have to take the test again. Might use it one day again..

Those little BaoFeng radios are awesome. I have a red one.

Same song, different verse for me. I don't really use the license but I do have it. I got it last year, with the intention of using it but the people I hung out with got off the radio stuff and I just kind of went meh. Well that and our radio tower fell over. That kind of put a damper on things.

But I do have the awesome plates for my cars, though.
