I'm sitting at 25*, sorry Reno :P

My Uncle lives in Minnesota and he's at 0* approaching -10* before the night is over if that makes you feel any better?

sounds good to me. my buddy in palm springs was taunting me the other day..."yeah, i'm by the pool...85F today...".

tonight's forecast:

TONIGHT:
Mostly clear and bitter cold again.
Low: -8
Wind: NW 3-6 MPH; Wind Chills: -5 to -20

what sucks the most is that we just had a blizzard, so the roads are absolute crap. it's staying cold like this for at least this week, so the roads won't improve until the salt can work, which isn't until at least 15F or higher. it's like driving on the moon...very rough...oh, but ice. ugh. :(

25 degrees last night in sunny central Florida and my well pipes froze (not a record BTW - in 1962 it was 16 degrees the same night). They thawed out around 9am, but I've got a couple of small leaks out at the well. Nothing that looks like a panic so far - I'll have to make repairs this weekend. Everything that's leaking are old fittings that had small leaks before. Now they're bigger leaks.

However my outdoor faucets haven't thawed yet so I don't know if I have more damage (I have eight faucets scattered around the property).
