put out a crap load of old computer junk .only lasted about 1 1/2 hours at the curb and someone in a old beat up pick up truck came by and scooped it all up .

2 doa flat panels
1 working old lcd monitor
2 burned out /shorted hard drive inclosures
a carton of 6 asst.old power supplys -no clue any more if any of them worked.
a carton of old case fans from computers long ago disassemble.
a carton with 18 asst cd/dvd rom drives -some i know were old hp units i was never able to make /fine working drivers for.also a asst.of other makers .

someone thinks they hit a gold mind - to me it free shelf space to put more gold mine stuff on. not sure what but i know it wont be old computer parts.
not worth the time or efford anymore .when you look at the price a brand new good unit with a OS can be bought for .also the headache and my time spent only to be told keep it i just bought a new unit and take parts you can use out of my old unit and toss it. and ya thanks for letting me know anyway .

Did much the same thing (though not in such quantity) when I moved to Utah. Then, after I had given away all but 1 extra mouse, my wireless adapter for my keyboard and mouse was broken by my kids.

D'OH!

Went back to Arizona about 3 weeks later and stole one of my gifts back from my brother in law who I gave it to.

Last week I set out a Frigidaire Plastic Tub Dishwasher I's replaced. About an hour or two later a truck pulls into the driveway and not only throws the dishwasher in the back, they also take a 12 year old Directv satellite dish that's been setting since I upgraded to HighDef. About a year ago, I st out a Sony 32" Tube TV that would no longer stay on and had a bad tube. This one only had to sit out front for about 2 minutes.

It's amazing what people will pick up if it's free.

I've slowly been throwing out the completely useless stuff lately. Just not as much demand for Cyrix powered computers as there once was.... even when you offer to give them away for free.

Put them on the curb with a sign that reads $20, they will be "stolen" in no time....lmao Thats how I get rid of garbage I want nothing for.

HAHAHA! My Gf ran over 3 different bikes that belonged to her son on different occasions. She just set them on the curb, in less than 20 min, a Hispanic guy comes by and asks how much......"for you, they are free"....Have yet to figure out why her son feels the need to park his bike under the a$$ end of her expedition. Now he's stuck on the double leather express...
