I was in Winnsboro today and I glanced at the prices on a sign, they didn't appear to have gone up all that much.. But I wasn't paying that much attention. I quit smoking though.. Trying to see how long it lasts heh.. Gotta find a new habit to occupy my long drives

If a pack every 2-3 weeks counts yah, I did. But I smoked my last one on Sunday evening. Hopefully I can stay off them.

Glad I gave 'em up. When they started getting close to a dollar a pack (25 years ago) I decided that it wasn't worth it. Now I think that it's one of the nastiest most disgusting things one can do.

Im quitting too. Not that I ever smoked that much. Kinda like Ego..it took me awhile to smoke a pack. Now the wife smokes a pack a day. Shes gonna be a booger too to get her to quit. I asked her to do for me...well begged actually. Not only for the money it would save. With me and her both smoking it would add up to around $200 a month. Kinda scary when you think about it. But I want to do for our health. Im 33 now and Im finally starting to feel some age setting it. Plus being out of shape and smoking is just double bad when it comes to walking up some stairs lol. Maybe she can do it. I never really enjoyed smoking at all anyway. Just did it out of habit. the wife actually enjoys her smokes so it may be harder on her.

I quite back in 1980 when a pack was only 25 cents. Never really smoke much anyway, as a pack would last about 3 days. At $9 a pack, that is insane. Probably cheaper to smoke dope.

I think that hard liquor & bars should be taxed more, but I'm just mean like that. It makes me so angry when I see someone I know say they drove home drunk. They could have killed someone & they are acting like a little kid that got away with something. Even after they get pulled over, they go & do it again.

I think this whole thing is way off!
Think about the lower income people that barley make it from day to day.
They count on that cig to mellow them out and rethink a bad decsion.
Take that away and I think a lot of bad thing are going to happen.
UURRG!
1. Dad & Mom will fight over a pack of cigs or <---(OR!) supper. Dad hasn't had his smoke so hes way uptight.. Can't end well.
2. Cigarette theft will go way up.. More violence.
3. The underground thing will start.. Meaning more policing, more courts tied up, more jail time.. (over getting a pack of marolboughs)
Thats just a start.
I smoke and look forward to my breaks at work to "have one" and gather a plan for my next prodject.. I count on my smoke to relax and think deeper.
Guess I can't affored that little plan anymore.. Thanks!
Darcy Yea. Alcohole is way worse!
I'd rather pay a lil more for my beer than getting raped on cigs! Cigs= mellow people out .. Alchohol=duck!
