My Grandfather Passed Away this Sunday

He had a blood clot in his leg and an aneurysm in is stomach. In order to remove the clot, the doctors would've had to take his whole leg. He declined and was placed in Hospice on Wednesday. Please lift up my Mother and her brothers and sisters in your prayers.
Oscar Ramey
Oscar Farmer Ramey, 85, of Fallen Timber Community, Lucasville, died Sunday, Aug. 31, 2008, at SOMC Hospice.
He was born March 10, 1923, in Lucasville, a son of the late Jay and Rebecca Daniels Ramey Sr..
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Bruce Ramey, Nov. 10, 1995; one son, Philip Oscar Ramey; brothers, George, Russell, Jay Jr., and William Ramey; two sisters, Clista Ramey and Anna V. Ramey.
Oscar retired from Laborer's Local 83, and was a United States Marine Corps veteran, serving in World War II and the Korean War.

He is survived by four daughters, Sandra Bolen of Lucasville, Pam (Jim) Spradlin of West Portsmouth, Angela Grooms of Lucasville, and Vicki Dearth of Beaver; two sons, Timothy (Pam) Ramey of Commerce Township, Mich., and Anthony Ramey of Lucasville; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at noon Tbhursday, Sept. 4, 2008, at Victory Chapel Church on Fallen Timber, with the Rev. Ken Donley and Joe Ward officiating. Burial will follow in Jacob Cemetery where graveside military rites will be provided by the William A. Baker Post of the American Legion. Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville and from 11 a.m. to noon Thursday at the church.
